Why take part
Blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. Today, there are 150,000 families facing blood cancer, and 17 Australians will lose their life.
Every year, thousands of Australians step up to shave their head for the World's Greatest Shave and raise funds in support of those affected.
Every dollar powers the work of the Leukaemia Foundation, bringing care closer to Australians with blood cancer. From practical support services like accommodation and financial assistance to emotional support and education, the funds raised help fuel real, tangible change for those who need it most.
It feels incredible. Nothing compares. Join the World's Greatest Shave community and make a life-changing difference today.

Natasha
“When they started to shave my head, I felt so empowered. This fundraiser allowed me to lose my hair with my family and closest friends by my side in what was such an emotional and heart-warming day.”

Bonnie
“I’m just so happy and grateful to everyone who cheered me on and donated. I wanted to shave my hair off to show [my friend] how amazingly brave she is and that she’s not alone. It was amazing."

Isaac
“Taking part with my son, Ashwin, was an unforgettable experience. I cherish the memory of doing something so special with him, taking on ‘our big haircut’ together. Ashwin still brings it up, and each time he does, I get to remind him why we did it: to show our support for people living with blood cancer. It was more than just a big haircut; it was a moment of connection, compassion, and courage that we shared."
Where your fundraising goes
Big or small, every donation matters – and helps the Leukaemia Foundation support Australians living with blood cancer today, while investing in a better tomorrow.
Last year, the World's Greatest Shave community made this life-changing support possible:

547 families provided with 39,854 nights of accommodation close to treatment.

866 families helped with financial assistance to help with the high costs of blood cancer.

1,879 people provided with transport assistance to get to and from life-saving treatment.
