You have the unique ability to rally students, spark lessons in empathy and community spirit, and inspire them to make a real difference. The World’s Greatest Shave is the perfect fundraising opportunity for your school, and we’re here to help you at every step – from sign up to event day.
4 steps to organising your school's World’s Greatest Shave event
01
Sign up as a school team
Start a school team via the link below and set up your school’s fundraising page. Then spread the word to students and fellow staff members.
02
Set a date and location
Choose a location that can accommodate a large group, whether it be the playground, a multi-purpose facility, or the school hall. All that matters is that you’re together.
03
Recruit student leaders to help
Recruit student leaders to help organise, and hold ‘mini fundraisers’ leading up to the big day like sausage sizzles, bake sales and casual clothes days.
04
Make the big day count
When the big day arrives, enjoy it together. And don’t forget to refer to our event day checklist to make sure you have everything you need.

What's it like to organise a school fundraiser?
“It is truly amazing to see the combined effort of students and teachers at MHS, building a stronger school community and most importantly raising awareness for the incredible efforts of the Leukaemia Foundation each and every year as a school tradition!”

Where your fundraising goes
Big or small, every donation matters – and helps the Leukaemia Foundation support Australians living with blood cancer today, while investing in a better tomorrow.
Last year, the World's Greatest Shave community helped make life-changing cancer care possible:
547 families provided with 39,854 nights of accommodation close to treatment.
866 people provided with financial assistance to help with the high costs of blood cancer.
1,879 provided with transport assistance to and from treatment and medical appointments.
