Help me take a stand against blood cancer
I'm RCUO Neve Ferris, representing South Queensland Brigade, Australian Army Cadets. This year, our Brigade is taking on the World's Greatest Shave during our annual Field Exercise, in the name of raising money and awareness for people affected by blood cancer.
Cadets is all about resilience, mateship, and stepping up when it counts — and this cause reflects exactly that. Nearly every family knows someone touched by leukaemia, lymphoma, or another blood cancer, and the Leukaemia Foundation's support makes a real difference during some of the hardest moments of people's lives.
By cutting my hair in front of my fellow cadets, I want to show that courage isn't just something we talk about on exercise — it's something we can put into action for a cause bigger than ourselves.
