Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Hi everyone,
My name is Mason, and I’m 11 years old. I’ve decided to take part in the World’s Greatest Shave, and I wanted to explain why it means so much to me.
Originally, I just wanted to grow my hair so I could donate it to people who lose their hair because of cancer treatment. What started as a fun idea turned into something really important to me. I’ve spent about 18 months growing my hair and tying it back, and I’m really proud of it.
But now I feel like I can have an even bigger impact. A lot of people know me for my mullet, and instead of just cutting it off quietly, I decided to shave it as part of the World’s Greatest Shave to help raise more awareness and money for cancer research.
Cancer has affected me and my family, so this is something that is really personal to me. I want to do something positive that helps others and shows support for people going through a really tough time.
I’m a bit nervous about shaving my head in front of everyone, but I’m also really excited because I know it can make a difference. I also think it’s a great way for our school and community to come together and support a really important cause.
