Help me take a stand against blood cancer

I’ve always believed that if you have the ability to do something kind, you should. Even if it’s small. Even if it’s uncomfortable. Even if it means cutting off inches of your hair and walking around with a dramatically different look for a while. Showing up with empathy is whatever way we can is part of the human nature.

On May 16, 2025, I’ll be taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave, and cutting and colouring my hair to raise awareness and funds for Australians living with blood cancer. But this is not just about a haircut. Or a dyejob. It’s about something much deeper.

Blood cancer is one of the most common and deadliest forms of cancer in Australia. Over 150,000 people are currently living with it—and that number is rising. Seventeen people die every single day from blood cancer in this country alone. That’s 17 communities of family, friends, loved ones changed forever, every day. And what scares me most is how suddenly and silently it can happen—how it can affect anyone, at any age, at any time.

I know it feels like a distant dream for everything to be remedied and perfect. I don’t have all the answers. I’m not a oncologist or someone with a billion dollars to donate. But I do have a head full of hair, a voice, and a community—and sometimes, that’s enough to start something that matters.

So I’m choosing to make a statement. I’m choosing discomfort and change, not for self-centred altruism, but in honour of those who don’t get a choice in what their bodies go through. I’m doing this for the patients who feel alone in sterile hospital rooms, for the kids who just want to feel “normal” again, and for the families holding their breath between test results, waiting for any sign of hope.

By donating to my page, you’re helping fund vital research—research that could save lives and find new treatments. You’re supporting families who need accommodation and transport during treatment. You’re helping someone feel less alone in what might be the hardest chapter of their life.

I know it’s a small act in the grand scheme of things—but small acts, multiplied by many people, create real change.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring. And thank you, truly, for standing with me as I stand for something bigger than myself.

Let’s cut through the fear. Let’s fight for hope. Let’s end blood cancer—together. Please open your minds and wallets 🙏🙏🙏. God Bless!!!!

Love Infintely,
