Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Everyone knows I love my hair—so if I’m going to shave every last bit of it off, I want to raise a bloody big amount of money. That’s where you come in.
More than 170,000 Australians are living with blood cancer, and 17 people lose their lives to it every day. I’m taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave to help fund vital research and support for patients and their families.
My mum doesn’t have blood cancer, but she is my inspiration. She has lived with terminal cancer for many years and has lost her hair several times through treatment.
Mum, if you ever lose your hair again, I’ll shave mine again right alongside you.
Cancer has also affected two of my aunties, my uncle, people I went to high school with and a colleague who is now ten years in remission. I’m shaving in solidarity with everyone who has lost their hair without getting a choice.
I’m also doing it to show my daughters that our appearance doesn’t determine our worth—and to stand beside the students in my class who are bravely cutting their own hair in support.
Now I need you to make my bald head worthwhile.
Please donate whatever you can—$5, $20, $50 or more. Every donation will help the Leukaemia Foundation fund life-changing blood cancer research and support families when they need it most.
If you can’t donate, please share my page with someone who can.
Everyone keeps telling me how precious my hair is. Let’s find out how much it’s worth.
Thanks for having your say
