Hobart’s own ultra-camp drag sensation Heidi Hole is about to serve her most dramatic transformation yet—and this time, it’s all for a life-saving cause.
As part of the World’s Greatest Shave, Heidi Hole will be shaving her head to raise vital funds and awareness for leukaemia and blood cancer research, proving once and for all that beauty, bravery, and baldness can absolutely coexist.
Known for her larger-than-life wigs, rhinestone excess, and unapologetic glamour, Heidi’s decision to go hair-free is a powerful show of solidarity with those undergoing cancer treatment and a heartfelt tribute to everyone affected by blood cancer.
“I’ve lost wigs before—usually backstage or to gravity—but this time it’s intentional,” Heidi Hole said. “Hair grows back. Lives don’t. If shaving my head gets people talking, donating, and supporting those facing leukaemia, then take the clippers and don’t hold back.”
The head shave will be a public, celebratory event, equal parts fundraiser and fabulous spectacle, inviting fans, friends, and the wider community to donate, cheer, and witness a truly iconic moment in drag
The World’s Greatest Shave is one of Australia’s most iconic fundraising campaigns, supporting groundbreaking research, treatment, and support services for people living with blood cancer. Every dollar raised will help to make real, tangible difference.
Heidi Hole is calling on the community to dig deep, donate generously, and stand with those whose fight is far bigger than a bad hair day.
“This is drag with purpose,” Heidi added. “Camp with compassion. And if my bald head helps save even one life, then it’s the fiercest look I’ll ever wear.”
