Im Braving the Shave, Donate to support those in need

This is my first year doing worlds greatest shave and I have set myself a big goal of $6,000. I'm going to brave the shave in support of those who need the support that this movement will give them, donate so that people suffering from leukaemia can get the treatment they need.

Right now over 135,000 people in Australia suffer from blood cancer and 5,950 die each year, thats a little more than 16 people every day

It is estimated that 1 in 12 Australians will be diagnosed wth blood cancer in their lifetime. If we are to help stop the suffering cause by blood cancer, we need enough funding as to support those diagnosed.

Right now leukaemia incidents have increased by 79% over the past 20 years, only 12% of funding has gone towards prevention and early detection of the disease, proportionally well bellow that of other leading cancers in Australia.

You can not prevent blood cancer, nor can you screen for it or make lifestyle changes to alter your risk of being diagnosed - it's Australia's silent and hidden cancer crisis.

Leukaemia incidents and morality on track to almost double by 2035, blood cancer will become one of Australia's most significant public health issues and the most prevalent and deadly form of cancer in the country.

Any donation - BIG or small - can make a real tangible difference to someone's life. Lets reach the goal of $6,000, together I know we can do it.
