For those who need it more than I do
I lost a family friend to leukaemia when she was very young, and I also have an aunt and a best friend who are both currently battling cancer. Seeing how deeply cancer affects not just the person, but everyone around them, has made this cause incredibly important to me.
My hair has always been something I’ve had fun with — long, short, fringes, straight, one colour, three colours, even six. I’ve styled it for every big moment in my life, including my wedding. But this year, I want to do something with my hair that’s not for me.
Inspired by my mum, who shaved her head for this cause when I was in primary school, I’m finally doing something I’ve wanted to do for years: shaving my hair to raise funds and donate it for someone who needs it more than I do.
