Help me take a stand against blood cancer

This year, I’m taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave. As a teacher, I am constantly inspired by the courage and resilience of my students. I have heard their stories, walked alongside them in their struggles, and witnessed the strength they show in the face of challenges. Taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave is my way of standing beside them, not just in words, but in action.

This year also marks 10 years since I lost my beautiful Nan. More recently, my Grandad has been diagnosed with cancer. While his diagnosis is not blood cancer, cancer impacts far too many families in too many ways. It reminds us that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story. 

By cutting my hair, I hope to honour my Nan and stand in solidarity with my students, and contribute in a small way towards a future where we work towards a cure for all cancers.
