Help me take a stand against cancer
As some will know, I am taking part in the World's Greatest Shave.
I am doing this as cancer is such an insidious disease and its affects many different people.
I was an 11-year-old little girl when my father passed away from brain cancer.
Fast forward 33 yrs and I watched my mum battle bowel cancer at age 72 and survive. In 2024, was diagnosed with lung cancer at 85. Had surgery to remove cancer, but passed away 8 months later.
So I am shaving my hair in honour of my parents and all the other people that I have known that have lost their battle.
I have the choice to shave, while other people don't
