Two years of growing, one big shave!!
Hi everyone!
My name is Tobias and I'm an 8 year old boy. When I was in Kindergarten, I shaved my head at school for the World's Greatest Shave and raised $1,400 to help beat cancer. That was way back in 2024! Since that day, I haven’t let a pair of scissors anywhere near my head.
I’ve been growing my hair for two whole years because I want to give it to Wigs4Kids. Before I even started school, Mum showed me a video of a boy who had burns on his head getting fitted for a wig. Right then, I knew I wanted to help kids feel like themselves again.
It hasn't always been easy! For the last year, I’ve had people constantly mistaking me for a girl because my hair is so long. Even though it's a bit annoying, I don't care because I know I'm growing it for a special reason. I'm happy to put up with being called "she" if it means a sick kid could get a new wig.
My hair is finally long enough (it has to be 20cm!). But I don’t just want to donate my hair... I want to smash my old record!
