Help me take a stand against blood cancer

Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.

That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.

Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.

I DID IT

Sunday 19th Apr
With plenty of assistance my hair is gone.
A lovely day surrounded by 18 people and a few others who popped in to donate to this cause.
Plenty of sausages eaten, lucky door prize winners, hair colouring and the Easter egg scramble for kids and adults, it was a success.
I am thankful for all who donated, who supported the cause and myself.

Setbacks suck but it's happening

Wednesday 15th Apr
I've decided it's happening on Sunday April 19.
Due to setbacks of illness I postponed but if I wait too long anything can go wrong again in my house.
Having a sausage sizzle, hair colouring, prizes and Easter egg scramble at my home and hoping for support to watch me.

GETTING CLOSER TO SHAVE OFF

Thursday 2nd Apr
With only 10 days to go until I shave it all off I have been trying my best to gain support, making posters to advertise in our little town and the next town up.
Money tins are in 3 business's and every coin counts.
Not many people carry cash or coins so it's not easy to expect lots but I put reminders out each week in hope.
What I raise is a blessing, especially in small towns and not everyone does online business.
I'm planning a sausage sizzle and hair colouring on the day for those able to come and laugh with me as it happens, small donations for the above plus lucky door prizes.
My daughter is helping with the prizes, buying them for me.
I pray my hair is suitable to send away to create a wig for someone who needs one.
Anyway, the invites are out, people have seen me and hope to come.
More to come...

Shaving it off

Friday 27th Mar
Time is getting closer for my big Shave Off Day on April 12.
I'm doing this for several reasons.
For family, for friends who have suffered or lost someone to leukaemia.
To raise money that can be used to assist patients with leukaemia who live in remote areas, with travel, accommodation.
Thankyou to those who have supported me so far.
This is a huge thing for me after letting my hair grow long.
Plus in June I am getting my head checked again for more cancer spots and lumps as I've been told there are some on my head after having cancerous lumps cut off my face.
I've bought some handcrafted beanies and am ready to do this.
