Help us take a stand against blood cancer, in honour of my late grandmother
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 people lose their lives every single day.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.
Hi, I’m Layla. I’m 14 years old, and this is my third year participating in the World’s Greatest Shave in honour of my late grandmother, Elana Luntz.
In my first year, I cut off 26 centimetres of my hair. It was a big change, but I wanted to do something meaningful — something that showed my commitment to the cause and honoured my grandmother in a powerful way.
For the past two years, I’ve coloured my hair in her honour, using it as a way to raise awareness, start conversations, and continue showing my support for families affected by blood cancer.
Losing my grandmother changed my life. She was such a special part of our family, and everything I do for the World’s Greatest Shave is to keep her memory alive while helping others who are going through what we did.
By donating to my page, you’re helping fund life-changing research and essential support services for patients and their families. Your support provides practical help, emotional care, and hope for better treatments in the future.
Any amount — big or small — truly makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting me, honouring my grandmother’s memory, and helping fight blood cancer 💛
