Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Almost everyone I know has either experienced cancer or known someone who has.. that’s far too many.
I lost my mum to cancer when I was 3. This disease is unfair. It robbed me of knowing my mother, her voice, everything. I recently found one of her old journals that she kept while she was sick. She talked about being scared for me to get attached to her because she knew she would die, and about the heartbreak she felt, knowing that my three older siblings would have to experience the rest of their lives without her.
So in honour of my mum, and everyone else who has battled cancer in their lives, I’ve decided that this year I’ll be shaving my head to try and raise some money and make a difference.
