Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
As many of you know, my life has changed dramatically since my cancer diagnosis. Surgery, chemotherapy, and the daily toll of treatment have shown me, in ways I never could have imagined, what it truly means to live with this disease.
Each day is a mix of highs and lows. Some mornings I wake up feeling almost like myself—able to think, move, and even smile. And other days… I find myself curled up under the duvet, unable to summon the strength to face the world. The little things I once took for granted—my independence, my mobility, even the simple pleasure of taste—are gone. My fingers and toes feel numb, my mind clouded with constant fog, and I am humbled in ways I never anticipated, needing help for tasks I once did without a second thought.
It’s a lonely battle at times. There are days when I can’t see friends, leave the house, or even hold a normal conversation. But in the midst of this struggle, I’ve come to understand the profound courage of everyone fighting this disease.
That’s why I’m reaching out, from the heart, to family, friends, and colleagues: please consider helping with a donation, no matter how small, to support cancer research. Every contribution brings hope, helps improve treatments, and touches the lives of people enduring this battle every single day.
To show my solidarity and raise awareness, I will be shaving my hair as it continues to fall from treatment—a small act to stand alongside those affected and to fight for a future where fewer people have to endure this journey.
