Randwick High School is proud to be taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave to support people living with blood cancer. So many in our community have been impacted by leukaemia or cancer more broadly, and we’re getting behind this cause with a heap of students and staff stepping up to shave, colour, and donate. We encourage you to donate to the team at https://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/fundraisers/randwickhighschool or to my fundraising page.
Personally The focus on leukaemia is also particularly special for me, after the loss of our cousin’s child, Tessa Wood, to leukaemia after a tough ten-month battle. Back then, three of us rode our mountain bikes from Sydney to Armidale and raised $58,000! Then close to this in the next ride with both of Tessa’s parents. I look forward to being able to raise some money again, and while it may not be the $58,000 of our first ride let’s at least try for 2% of that, hehe.
I have attached a photo of Tessa who remains an inspiration for raising funds for this cause and also a link below to the final video of the 2010 Lifecyclists ride to Armidale for some context.
If you are able to support World's Greatest Shave this year then please consider supporting the RHS team.
Thanks Rolfe
