Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Hi, I’m Rhiannon, and this year I’m taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave by cutting my hair. This is to help raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
Every day, around 17 Australians unfortunately lose their battle with blood cancer.
Cancer has impacted my family deeply.
I’m doing this in honour of my Grandma, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. It stole the opportunity for me to ever meet her and experience the love she so generously showed to everyone around her. I’m also doing this for my Grandad, who has survived both breast cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. His strength inspires me every day. And for my Nan, who has survived mouth cancer and continues to show me what true resilience looks like.
Cutting my hair is a small sacrifice compared to what so many people endure through treatment, hospital stays and recovery. But if cutting off my hair can help raise awareness and funds for those impacted by cancer, then it is more than worth it.
If you’re able to donate, big or small, or even just share my page, I would be so grateful.
