Help me take a stand against blood cancer

Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.

That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.

Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.

Hairdresser booked.

Monday 21st Sep
Hi All,
I am booked in at 3pm on the 2nd of October  to have bleach streaks put in my hair for the prep part of the rainbow hair do, followed by the rainbow colouring.
There is a non zero probability that I will be sitting at Trash Cult in High St, Eaglehawk having a beer while wearing a shower cap waiting to the bleach to do its thing.
Handy that Sheer Cheveux hair salon is just across the road from Trash Cult.
Images will be uploaded on the day, but feel free to come down to Trash Cult and donate while I am there.

Why I am doing this

Tuesday 1st Sep
Hi All,
If you are wondering if I have a personal motivation for this, I do.
A work Colleague and friends son was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was a teenager. I still vividly remember what my mate went through and what that journey with his son cost him in his personal life.
Also, my late father had a blood issue later in life that kept his red blood cell count very low. He developed Alzheimer's and died from that condition.
Finally, my late mother was a nurse and spent a large part of her career as a Sister at The Bendigo Blood Bank. I am also a regular plasma and whole blood doner with Lifeblood for these reasons.
Every little bit helps to make some else journey on this planet a little bit easier, and it takes nother from me but my time to help.
