Help me take a stand against blood cancer
This March, I’m taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave to help raise awareness and funds for life-changing cancer research.
Cancer has touched my life and the lives of people I love in many ways - from losing to pancreatic cancer, battling bone cancer, and fighting breast cancer. While these cancers aren’t blood cancers, I truly believe that research in one area helps drive progress across all forms of cancer — and that every dollar raised brings us closer to better treatments, better outcomes, and more lives saved.
I’m shaving my head not only to raise money, but also to donate my hair so it can be made into a wig to help improve the confidence and wellbeing of someone going through cancer treatment. If my hair can help even one person feel a little more like themselves during a difficult time, it will be worth it.
I’m also inspired by my own mum, who took on the World’s Greatest Shave about 25 years ago. I remember how proud I was of her, and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do myself — to step up, take on the challenge, and try to make a difference.
