16 Australians lose their life every single day to blood cancer. Lives live behind these words.
Last year we lost a family member before his time to blood cancer, and the world lost one of its most ineffably genuine, outgoing and lively humans. Following his passing, so many stories from people of all walks of life came out of the ether about his sporadic sprees of altruistic goodness. He spent his life brightening and lifting everyone around him. He was someone who lightened the burden of so many others.
