I'm fundraising for the World's Greatest Shave
Hi! I'm Lucy! Every year I try to donate to a charity to try to make a small difference to those suffering. It's usually fitness related so I can challenge myself and raise funds for a good cause. However next year I'm looking to do something VERY different. The way that the World's Greatest Shave came about was a bit of a funny one, Deanne (friend and colleague, part of Razor Pack) said that she was going to do it and asked a few of us if we would donate and all of a sudden I heard the words "I'll do it with you" come out of my mouth! There was a moment where I wanted to pull out but then I thought about all the people that are suffering with Leukaemia and how lonely and scary it would be for them and I thought this would be an amazing way to make a small difference. For those that don't know me, I'm slightly (extremely) obsessed with my hair but I think it's much less brave to donate my hair to someone that may have lost theirs than to actually be the person that is suffering. So! Please, dig deep into your pockets and help me help the 140,000 families that are facing blood cancer so that one day we can have a day where zero lives are lost to blood cancer. Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.
