Help me take a stand against blood cancer

Almost 23 years ago, my father passed away from a form of blood cancer.  He was told it was incurable, but he was lucky enough to join a medical trial which gave him another 5 years with us.  He volunteered a lot of his time to talk to doctors who were trying to find a cure.  He hoped that what he was going through would help others in the future.

The following March, I shaved my head to help raise vital research funds in his name.

In September last year my mother also passed away from blood cancer.  At the time of her original diagnosis, Mum was told that her cancer was incurable, but with a variety of treatment options, her life could be extended.  With support, Mum lived with and managed her illness for another nine years.

I have decided to shave my head again in memory of her.

My shave date is Wednesday March 4th.

Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference to continued research into new treatments to help prolong life and hopefully cure people with forms of blood cancer.
