For the past 8 years, my hair has been a big part of who I am, so cutting it all off is a pretty big deal for me. But I’ve decided that it’s time to say goodbye to my hair and do something meaningful with it.
Cancer has affected my family, and it’s a cause that is very close to home. My grandfather was around the same age I am now when he was diagnosed with leukemia which makes this even more personal for me.
So, I’m taking the big step and shaving my head to raise money for the World’s Greatest Shave and help support people affected by cancer.
After growing my hair since I was 7, it’s definitely going to be a huge change — but knowing I’m doing it for a cause that means so much to my family makes it worth it.
