Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
I am a haematology RN so this is very close to my heart. I see the mental, physical, emotional and social effects blood cancer has on people and their families. Patients are often travelling away from home for treatment, leaving them in Brisbane for at least 3 months away from family and pets. Any amount will make a real, tangible difference to assist research and also helping with accommodation in Brisbane whilst families are away from their homes.
