Help me take a stand against blood cancer

I’ve decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave because everyone has to have a bob at least once in their life, and what better cause to do it for? I’ll be cutting off 20cm of my hair, which will be donated to be made into a wig for someone going through blood cancer treatment.

I'm sure I looked quite stupid measuring 20cm of my hair in class the other day but it is significantly more hair than it sounded like considering I will not have much left afterwards. However, my hair will grow back so I will be okay.

This decision has also been influenced by a certain amount of peer pressure, along with several people confidently assuring me that it will “look really good,” which is easy for them to say considering it’s not their hair.

My fellow school captain Spencer is shaving his entire head, which sounds much more brave and dramatic, however it must be noted that I am still cutting off more hair than he is and this should be acknowledged.

All donations go towards funding research and supporting people and families affected by blood cancer.

Any donation would be really appreciated, and will help justify the moment where I voluntarily put my year 12 formal photos on the line :)

Thanks for having your say
