Why I'm shaving my head

For the past four years, I’ve joked about doing the World’s Greatest Shave, but this year, I’m finally stepping up. My brother took part back in 2021, and now it’s my turn to follow in his footsteps, not just for fun, but for something far greater.

Leukemia and other similar blood cancers and disorders take 17 lives a day in Australia, and I’ve felt that pain personally; I’ve lost loved ones to it.

The Leukemia Foundation offers more than just hope — they fund vital research, provide accommodation and transport for families, and offer practical and emotional support to people going through one of the toughest battles imaginable.

This isn’t just about shaving my head. It’s about making a difference.  maybe not a massive one, but a real one. Because every small act of kindness counts.

As it says in Galatians 6:2

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

I’m doing this to carry a small part of that burden — and I hope you’ll join me.

Thanks for having your say
