Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
Shaving one’s head may seem like something to tick off on someone’s bucket list, but to me, it is for the many people I know who have battled and are battling cancer. I want to create awareness to the many more people I don’t know, who are struggling with and fighting against cancer, whilst also taking this opportunity to gain empathy and a deeper admiration for those who have to undergo treatment that means that their hair is affected.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. It is such a blessing to be surrounded by life-changing technology, and even more so to be a part of the process to further research that can help them on their journey with cancer. If you are able to, donations go towards supporting those people who are affected by cancer, whether it is by funding research projects and helping provide support services for patients and their families.
Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.
