Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
My name is Eryn Sandry I am 17 years old and live in Coffs Harbour, NSW. At some point in our lives most of us will be faced with someone we love being diagnosed with Cancer. The reality of Cancer, is it does not discriminate in age or lifestyle it just is... and for that any of us or others we love are at risk.
For me I am participating in the worlds greatest shave to raise money for Cancer research in memory of my cousin Kayla. Kayla is the bravest and strongest person I know and will always remain that way in my memory and heart spurring me to do what i can over my life to raise awareness as well as funds.
My cousin Kayla was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Fibrolamellar, a cancer which approximately effects only one in 5 million people.
Kayla truly was a one in a million as the saying goes, and continues to remain that way in every thought and memory I have. I will continue to do what I can to raise awareness and research funds into rare cancers.
I am hoping friends, family and communities i am apart of will help me on my journey to raise funds as i enter the worlds greatest shave this year.
