Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Growing up my granddad had leukemia and for a while I didn't understand what that meant but as I got older and my family talked more about it I understood why it was such a big deal. in 2014 my parents and other family members came together at a worlds greatest shave event in my local shopping Centre and us kids got our hair coloured then years later in 2018 my sibling and their friend got the shave as well and made it a school event, at that point it felt like a family tradition so in 2021 I did the same shaving my head but I sadly didn't have enough hair to donate. But now after 5 years my granddads cancer is back, so now I am too. I am happy to say I have the length and strength in my hair to finally donate it. I've been growing my hair out since August 2024 and cutting out all my bleached and damaged hair all while holding myself back from impulsively dyeing my hair random colours. after starting to take better care of my hair I notice how curly it became and made it my mission to have it as healthy and curly as possible for however gets it next. I hope you'll help me, help others on this journey together.
