Help me take a stand against blood cancer
When Mum was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), the one silver lining in that dark cloud was that the Leukaemia Foundation was around to provide support in many different ways.
As Mum eventually required more and more blood transfusions and later as chemo started, it simply wasn’t possible for her family to take her to the many appointments she had each week. The Leukaemia Foundation was ready every time she needed them. Without the Leukaemia Foundation, this bad time would have been much more difficult.
On April 15th 2015, Mum passed away from leukaemia. So once again I will be doing the World’s Greatest Shave in memoriam of her and shaving my head on March 19th - her birthday.
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
