Help me take a stand against blood cancer

I've been thinking about cancer more and more lately. I have curly hair, and I used to dislike it, and I used to cut it short for no reason, but this time, I've been growing it out to raise money for the World's Greatest Shave. The next time I cut it (just after my 9th birthday!), I'll go "skin bald". If you choose to support me, your money will be in good hands.

Also:

Right now, over 150,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.

Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.

What hairstyle should I try before or during my shave?

My Updates

April 2026

Sunday 12th Apr
The day has finally come! All the hair is gone, except for tiny bristles. It feels good. I’m proud of myself for doing it. Thanks for all the support from everyone. My friends, my family, my neighbours. It should make a big change in a lot of people’s lives.

I’ve had a lot of donations and I’ve finally reached my goal! I’m actually a fair bit past my goal. My hair is really, really long now. It’s starting to get annoying, about how much I need to brush it. I made a “Random Act of Kindness” donation to another kid who is also shaving his head.

My hair is getting really long. I'm kind of scared for when I shave it, that no-one will really recognise me. I'm going to have friends over when I do it. I've passed the halfway mark for my fundraising goal, and I think I'm going to be able to make it.

How it's going

Saturday 17th Jan
I'm doing fine. I'm kind of nervous about what's going to happen - I'm scared I won't reach my fundraising goal of $600 in time. I used to dislike my hair. I don't like or dislike it anymore. I'm doing Shave For a Cure because I have long hair and I've been growing it out for a while, and telling everyone I'm "going bald". I used to think of going skin-bald whenever I would get a haircut, but now that I'm doing Shave For a Cure, I actually will. It's going to look very different to what it usually does. I don't think anyone is going to recognise me for so long. Thank you for every single little dollar that is donated to Shave For a Cure.
