Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer and 17 people lose their lives every single day.
That's why I'm taking on the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.
This cause is incredibly personal to me. When I was young, I was diagnosed with cancer. I was fortunate enough to beat it and that experience showed me just how important hope, research, support and the people around you truly are.
Today, one of my closest friends, Alanna, is facing a difficult battle of her own. Watching someone you care about go through such a challenging time is heartbreaking, but I know how strong she is. If I could overcome cancer, I truly believe she can overcome this too. Shaving my head is my way of standing beside her, showing my support and helping others who are fighting similar battles.
