Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer… and currently my dad is one of them. He’s disease is a nuanced one, beginning as chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) that grew into a more serious acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Against all odds, he is in remission for the ALL side of the disease. And as you read this, he is undergoing a bone marrow transplant to grow a new immune system to stop the CML ever sparking off again.
It is now, at this final stage to consolidate all his treatment, that I am taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to this page, you’ll help raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families. All of your support can all make a difference, whether it is giving an amount, big or small, or pledging to donate blood at your nearest blood bank… both are crucial pieces that can help not only my dad through his treatment, but all people fighting everyday against this disease.
