Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day. 

That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.

Saturday morning thoughts…

Saturday 1st Aug
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our fundraiser so far. The big shave is happening on Monday and the nerves are starting to kick in. Google told me that hair grows on average 15cm a year so it will be a while before I use a hair tie again! I never thought about shaving my head but when a coworker came up with the idea I thought why not… 
We are so lucky to be in a position to give back and help others. Cancer does not discriminate - it can affect the young and elderly and I’m sure we all know someone who has been affected in one way or another. Shaving my head is a huge sacrifice for myself and kids (they don’t want me to do it), but I know there are other people out there who are going through far worse in their life right now so in the big scheme of things, this challenge is nothing. 
Bring on Monday! I cant wait to save 5 minutes a day doing my hair, my shampoo will last longer and I will stop seeing my hair strands in random places. I can’t wait to share the after pics!
