Help me take a stand against blood cancer
“It’s lymphoma”. The two words that turned my whole world upside down on an otherwise seemingly dull Saturday afternoon.
We hear of these sorts of horror stories affecting people around us, but as a healthy 33 year old, the last thing you’d ever expect is the chronic pain in your hip (which we all thought was from constantly lifting a heavy baby mind you - sorry Ava) would be a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the bone. The type that requires months of intense chemo - and you guessed it, for me to lose my pride and joy… my long, thick hair.
So, if I’m going to go bald, I might as well make it mean something. This is where I need your help. I’ll be donating my luscious locks - before they fall out - to help make wigs for cancer patients. Most of the time they’re for little kids! But why not go the extra mile and raise funds for a good cause. If you’ve got some spare change, please consider donating ♥️🙏
