Help me take a stand against blood cancer

I’m taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave this year for someone incredibly important to me — my dad.

Late last year, Dad was diagnosed with a rare form of multiple myeloma. Since then, our world has been turned upside down. Despite the tireless efforts of his doctors and medical team here in South Australia, the cancer has now spread to his brain, and the prognosis is not good.

From the very beginning, the situation has been confronting and heartbreaking. But through it all, we’ve witnessed the dedication, compassion and determination of the medical staff who have done everything in their power to give him the best possible care. Their work, and the research that supports it, is the reason families like ours are given hope — even in the darkest moments.

I’m shaving my head not just in support of my dad, but in support of every family facing blood cancer. Multiple myeloma is a rare and complex disease, and more research is desperately needed to improve treatments, extend lives, and hopefully one day find a cure.


By donating, you’re helping fund critical blood cancer research and support services for patients and families who are walking this incredibly difficult path. 

My hope is that by raising funds and awareness, we can help create better outcomes for future patients and spare other families from the pain we are experiencing.
