Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.
My former colleague, mentor and friend Wayne Gladigau passed this year after a long fight with cancer. He supported me throughout my time at St Columba College in immeasurable ways. Anyone who met or worked with Wayne knew he would do anything for anyone, helping them in whatever way they needed. He was the first to put his hand up to contribute. I feel like raising money to shave my head is a small way I can help others in honour of how he helped everyone.
Regardless of whether you knew Wayne or not, unfortunately cancer impacts so many, being felt by individuals, families, friends, colleagues, and entire communities. Most of us know someone whose life has been changed by it.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help the Leukaemia Foundation continue to provide vital support services, fund research, and give hope to Australians living with blood cancer and their families.
I know the cost of living at the moment makes things tough for many, so if you're not in a position to donate that's totally fine, and I appreciate your support just by taking the time to read this, and maybe you can let others know of my fundraising.
