I'm fundraising for the World's Greatest Shave
Blood cancer is a less than ideal time, and isn't one of the most well known cancers either - even though 140,000 families are facing blood cancer right now. And it takes the lives of 16 Australians every day.
And that's set to double by 2035. That's why I've signed up for the World's Greatest Shave - I get a haircut and the chance to raise awareness about this.
The goal(s):
If I can hit the $560, that'll give a regional family accommodation close to treatment for one whole week.
Cracking the thousand dollar mark is going to give all the state of the art tests to a kiddo, so they know exactly the best way to treat their particular type of blood cancer.
Any funds raised for the Leukaemia Foundation give Australians (and their families) facing blood cancer life-changing practical and emotional support. It also helps with critical research to find out more about all things blood cancer.
Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.
