Third time I'm asking for your $ for blood cancer support.
I've wanted to do this for three years and know when the urge to shave one's head arises, one should really just get shaving, it doesn't go away.
But first: raise some money for those poor buggers with blood cancer, many of whom don't get to choose whether to have hair.
This is my third time and I've included photos below from the 2007 and 2012 shaves. I've also included my most recent awful photos to give you a laugh and (hopefully) elicit sponsorship-inspiring pity. Although for a good cause it really won't hurt to try and scare the hair into behaving next time it grows back. Given it grew back curly the first time I shaved it, one can only hope! ;)
Now for the serious stuff:

I've just had neighbours who I've never seen before come and give me a $50 donation. I'm so touched by their generosity, they were so kind and lovely. If you ever worry that people have truly lost their way, go fundraising. I've fundraised my whole life and found people generous. A lot of my sponsors are people I know and so it can be rightly stated that I've got generous people in my world (I do, and it's wonderful). I've asked a lot of strangers for money too, and have had the same outcome. Back when we used to knock on doors for the Red Cross, the events, all the things baked and sold - the many ways we fundraise (I once did a singing comedy act to raise money!) - when we ask for a good cause, people are kind. I think when we are given a very specific and seemingly achievable way to help other people, we do.
