Hi my name is Skylett I’m 12 years old, and I’ve decided to take part in the World’s Greatest Shave to support the Leukaemia Foundation.
When I first heard about the World’s Greatest Shave, I learned that people can either shave their hair or colour it to help raise money for families affected by blood cancer. I decided to colour my hair because I wanted to do something special for someone very close to my heart—my beautiful little niece 🩷Allira🩷
My niece is currently fighting leukaemia. She is going through treatment right now, and even though she’s so young, she is one of the bravest people I know. Watching someone you love go through cancer is heartbreaking. I wish I could take away her pain, but I can’t.
What I can do is stand beside her.
By colouring my hair, I hope to raise money and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation so they can continue supporting families just like ours and help fund vital research for better treatments and, one day, a cure.
Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Your kindness will help provide practical support, emotional care, and hope to families facing one of the toughest challenges imaginable.
I’m only 12 years old, but I believe you’re never too young to make a difference. If my colourful hair starts a conversation about blood cancer, encourages someone to donate, or gives hope to just one family, then it will all be worth it.
