Maggie's 24th Birthday Fundraiser (& Quarter-Life Crisis)!
Hi everyone, my 24th birthday is coming up and since 24 is my favourite number I wanted to do something special this year. I've decided to cut my hair and donate it, as well as raise some money for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. This is something I've always wanted to do and now seems like the perfect time, since I am officially entering my mid twenties and therefore quarter-life crisis territory (the perfect time to rock a bob)!
I have also just finished the Oncology & Haematology blocks at uni, so over the past few months I have had the privilege of meeting and spending time with many patients with all sorts of cancers whose lives have been affected in so many ways. And as some of you know, my grandpa passed away from leukaemia in 2022, so I saw all the treatment he went through and how it impacted him and the rest of my family. By donating to the Leukaemia Foundation, you’ll help raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
Please donate anything you can, even small donations can make a big difference. The big cut is happening on my birthday (24th of September) so it's only a couple of weeks away!
