Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Last year my amazing Dad Peter was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia a rare form of blood cancer. A week before this shock diagnosis my Dad was super fit - teaching at a kickboxing club and working his farm, he's a non smoker and doesn't drink - leukaemia doesn't discriminate it impacts people of all genders, all ages, all levels of fitness.
We are so grateful for the amazing medical care my Dad has received and continues to receive. Equally we are blown away by the research that goes into every aspect of his treatment plan.
I have shaved my head twice before - the last time being 11 yrs ago. When I joined the cause I knew no-one with leukaemia but wanted to help, I like to think in some small way maybe the money I raised then contributed to the research going in to my dad's care now. So for the third time lucky I am hoping to have an impact and raise vital funds to fight this shit disease.
