Help me take a stand against blood cancer
In October last year, I was admitted to hospital due to my platelets, red and white blood cells being low. For days they were testing to figure out what was wrong and eventually was sent to Brisbane for a bone marrow biopsy. The next day I found out I had a type of Leukaemia called AML.
The leukaemia foundation has been amazing towards our family and has provided us with accommodation, amongst other things, while I have treatment down in Brisbane. While I have managed to keep my hair throughout initial treatments, I will not through the next stage and I thought this is a great opportunity to give back to this amazing foundation that has helped our family tremendously during this time.
So towards the end of March before I go through stem cell transplant, I’ll be shaving my head for a good cause. I would love it if you could donate to this great cause that helps so many families going through difficult life changing times like our family.
Right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
