As a teacher, I believe in leading by example - especially when it comes to compassion and courage. That's why I've decided to take part in the World's Greatest Shave by buzzing my hair and shaving my beard.
Blood cancer affects thousands of Australians every year, and this event is a powerful way to raise awareness and funds for research and support services. For many going through treatment, losing their hair is just one of the many challenges they face. By shaving mine, I'm standing in solidarity and showing my students that even small acts of bravery can make a big difference.
