Help me take a stand against blood cancer
There comes a point where you realise how fragile life really is. So many people wake up every day fighting battles they never asked for — hospital visits, chemotherapy, exhaustion, fear, and uncertainty. Blood cancer doesn’t just affect one person; it impacts families, friends, and entire support networks who carry the emotional weight alongside them.
That’s why I’ve decided to shave my hair for the World’s Greatest Shave.
For me, this isn’t just about losing my hair. It’s about standing in solidarity with the people who lose theirs through treatment, and recognising the strength it takes to keep going when life feels overwhelming. Hair is such a big part of identity and confidence, and choosing to shave mine is a small reminder of what so many people are forced to endure without a choice.
I know shaving my head won’t change the world overnight, but if it can help raise awareness, start conversations, and contribute even a little towards research, treatment, and support services, then it’s worth every second.
I’m doing this for the fighters, the survivors, the families who have had to say goodbye too soon, and for the people currently facing battles most of us could never imagine.
If you can donate, share, or simply support the cause, it would mean more than you know. Together, we can help give hope to people who need it most.
Thanks for having your say
