20,000!!

When we began this initiative, we dreamed of raising $2,000 to support just a few families affected by leukaemia. Over a month later, we are amazed at how the participation of over 60 amazing Frensham girls has raised $20,000. $20,000 can fund support, counselling, transport, accomodation, and even a day of research to support many families who are going through one of the most difficult human experiences, chronic disease.

It's easy to watch the number on the screen slowly increase, but the reality of $20,000 is truly hard to wrap your head around. 

Thank you to everyone who has offered their time, hair, or money to make this positive contribution.

We've hit 10,000! We're so proud of all of the amazing students who have put their time and hair on the line for this important cause! Special shout-out to year 10 for making up almost half of the team 🙌

Frensham is excited to participate in the World's Greatest Shave 2025

As a school, we are hoping to involve the school community and extended community as much as we can to raise awareness for blood cancer. Hair cutting above 20cm will be donated to participating Sustainable Salons to be made into wigs for people who have lost their hair to cancer treatment; hair cutting below 20cm will be made into floating hair booms to clean up oil spills in our oceans. All donations go directly to the Leukaemia Foundation. We would like to thank all participating staff, students, and all generous community members.
