Right now, over 150,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.
My Mum has made a statement on behalf of our family and their experience with losing a loved one to Leukaemia;
“My daughter is participating in the World’s Greatest Shave in honour of a cause that is deeply personal to our family. I was born in 1973, and just a few years later, my younger brother was diagnosed with leukaemia before his first birthday. He spent the next three years bravely fighting the disease, but tragically passed away at the age of four. His illness, the treatments he endured, and the profound grief that followed shaped the course of our family’s life.
It’s likely that with today’s medical advancements—made possible through ongoing research and funding—he may have survived. This is why I support the World’s Greatest Shave. Every dollar raised helps bring hope to families facing blood cancer today and in the future.”
That’s why I’m taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to my page, you’ll help me raise funds and awareness for blood cancer, and fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients and their families.
