Help me take a stand against blood cancer
Hi! I'm Ariel, a 17 year old student who was lucky enough to meet Brandan, one of the first friends i made at my new school. He was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2024.
He is now studying at Tafe and im so proud of him. However, some people aren't as lucky, with 17 people dying each day from BC.
I'm raising money towards research, and utilities to support families going through this tough time. People say that "its just hair" to those who are losing it due to treatment. I believe that if its 'just hair', you should be willing to lose it too. Because i understand its not just hair, its some peoples identify, safe space, or even joy in their life.
So, I'm shaving mine. I'm also donating my hair so that those who have lost their form of identity, safe space and joy, can receive a wig while receiving treatment.
