Help me take a stand against infant Leukaemia and other blood cancers.

Right now, over 150,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 lose their life every single day.

My niece Florence was diagnosed at four months of age with infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. This rare and aggressive form of leukaemia, which is due to a genetic mutation, KMT2A rearrangement, sadly has a high relapse rate and poor survival rate.

Treatment is long and intensive with Florence having 10 months of intravenous chemotherapy and is now on oral chemotherapy for 14 months. There have been many serious complications along the way  with long  and frequent hospital stays, some of nearly 80 days.

Infant leukaemia itself leads to many lost lives but chemotherapy-related toxicity is another reason babies don't survive. More research is needed to find more effective and safer treatments for babies. Leukaemia affects people of any age and right now, over 170,000 Australians are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer, and 17 people lose their life every single day.
That’s why we are taking on the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave. By donating to our page, you’ll help us raise funds and awareness for infant leukaemia and other blood cancers, fuel life-changing research projects and support services for patients like Florence and their families.

Any amount – big or small – will make a real, tangible difference.
